This introductory course aims to equip students planning to pursuit the postgraduate program in TESOL with fundamental knowledge and skills in the field of English teaching and learning. While providing essential knowledge about learners and teachers, the course introduces issues and concepts in ELT, including theories of second language learning, language teaching methodology, and language assessment.
